Common Ear Health Issues for Children

Ear Infections

Ear infections often cause pain and fever.  If you suspect your child has an ear infection see your family doctor as soon as possible.

Ear Wax

Children can also suffer from excessive ear wax, causing blocked ears and hearing loss. If you suspect your child has too much ear wax book an appointment at Ears Unplugged.

Glue Ear

Glue ear is a build up of fluid behind the ear drum.  The main symptom of glue ear is hearing loss.  Hearing loss for long periods during the early years may affect speech and language development.  If your child suffers from glue ear that doesn't clear up your doctor may recommend grommets.

Hearing Problems

If your child has problems following directions, is easily distracted or has speech and language difficulties, they may have hearing problems.  Get your child's hearing checked at Ears Unplugged.  Book an appointment now.
